Under the Telecommunications Act 1997, a registered cabler must produce on demand a registration card. This card is issues by one of the following organisations:
- ACRS
- ASIAL
- BRCA
- FPA Australia
- TITAB.

To check if a cabler’s registration is current
5 registrars manage all cabler registrations on behalf of the ACMA. To check that the cabler has a current registration:
- look at the first letter of their registration card to see which registrar they used
- contact the registrar or search their registration database

Note: BRCA has withdrawn as a Registrar as of 21st of March 2025, you can still search for their database for cablers registered with BRCA.
